This project is very near and dear to my heart, as this is my partner Stuart’s restaurant, where he is chef and co-owner. I was very excited for Monderer Design and True Bistro to collaborate on updating their very old website.
I have been involved with True Bistro since it opened back in 2010, so after hearing years of feedback from our users, I was very aware of their needs when visiting the website. People wanted to see a menu that wasn’t in PDF form, they wanted to make a reservation without talking to a human being, and a responsive design was a high priority. I found a simple reservation solution that has saved the restaurant time and money and they do not have to resort to using an expensive tool like OpenTable. I made the online menu as easy for the chef to update as it is for the users to find their favorite dish. We wanted to have a very clear “alert” section for when the restaurant is impacted by weather or other unforeseen circumstances. With a clean minimal design and food photography, we helped the look and feel of the website match the ambiance of the restaurant.
